OMR provide expert diagnostic and therapeutic radiology services to a wide variety of professional and amateur sports clubs.
We work closely with several premiership football teams, Rugby League and Rugby Union clubs, English Cricket Board, County and International Cricket teams, England Hockey, GB Rowing, GB Racing, GB and international athletics.
OMR was part of the organisation committee for imaging at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Over the years, our specialists have provided radiology services for international sporting events including the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Commonwealth Games, International Association of Athletic Federation Games and World Athletics Championships.
We work closely together with many sports doctors and physios and run weekly multidisciplinary meetings with the OXSPORT team of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust.
OMR has access to a number of radiology facilities throughout the UK and are able to deliver a remote image reporting service through teleradiology so athletes can have their imaging performed close to where they are based and have it reported by our reputed OMR specialists without delay. We aim to provide a professional and personal service and are happy to offer second opinions, discuss reports and whether any further imaging or potential intervention may be required.
We offer a comprehensive range of image guided treatments such as joint and spinal injections, tendon therapies including dry needling, autologous blood injection, platelet rich plasma (PRP) and tendon stripping, as well as muscle repair treatments including PRP instillation.
