Technique
Fluoroscopy allows the radiologist to visualise real-time moving X-ray pictures by using a pulsed X-ray beam and displaying the images in real time on a TV monitor.

Applications
Fluoroscopy is rarely used only for diagnostic purposes. It is mostly used for interventional procedures to ensure accurate needle position during the procedure. Procedures commonly performed under fluoroscopic guidance include spinal injections, vertebroplasty, and bone biopsy (sampling).
