After your Appointment

After your appointment, you will be able to carry on your normal daily activities. Your examination will be reported by one of our expert dedicated musculoskeletal radiologists and a report will be sent to your referring doctor, usually within 24 hours.

If you have had an injection, in most cases you can return to most work immediately although arranging a period of rest afterwards is often advisable if your job involves heavy lifting.

In many cases you will also be asked to complete a pain diary, which is a record of your symptoms after the injection. This helps your referring doctor and the radiologist determine the next steps in your treatment.

The pain diary will be explained to you at the time of your appointment and you will be asked to return it by post after two weeks
